Deadly Weapons Found in House of Man Who Killed Entire Family

Detectives have arrested a key suspect in the murder of a couple and their 5-year-old child in Kericho.

On Monday night, the investigators from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) arrested the suspect at the Londiani junction in Kipkelion East Constituency.

During a search at the man's house, stolen items were recovered, some of which belonged to the deceased family.

Some of the things recovered from the house were a passport, mobile phones and an undisclosed amount of money in US dollars.

Other items recovered are; a knife. hammer, laptop and flash disks. On their Twitter page, the DCI confirmed that the suspect had been arrested.

"Detectives have arrested a key suspect in connection with the brutal killing of a 38-year-old couple and their 5yr-old child in #Kericho.

"Following leads the suspect’s house was searched & assorted items stolen from the deceased family recovered. Investigations continue," the tweet read.

Last week, a man by the name Bernard Langat, his wife, Khadija Langat and their 5-year-old son were murdered at their home in Melit, Kericho County.

The murder suspects are said to have been stabbed repeatedly and were discovered by a neighbour who visited them in the evening.
