Uhuru Issues 2 New Directives Over Huduma Namba

President Uhuru Kenyatta has given two directives regarding the Huduma Namba registration that started on April 2, 2019.

While issuing his directive on Friday, Uhuru stated that the National Integrated Management System (NIIMS) guards the integrity of data much better than the manual system.

Uhuru directed that Kenyans living in the diaspora should start registering beginning May 6, 2019 for a period of 45 days at Embassies and Consulates.

He also indicated that Huduma Namba registration centers will be opened over the Easter period, giving those who may have been too held up a chance to register.

The president also stated that in just 16 days, 11 million Kenyans had registered for the Huduma Namba.

"Huduma Namba moves the country from a manual, scattered and cumbersome data management regime to an organised digital service delivery platform," Uhuru stated.

The president also passed his Easter message to Kenyans asking them to stay vigilant in their neighbourhoods and ensure that their families and neighbors are safe.

"May this Easter bring all of us joy, peace and fulfilment," the president stated.

"During this long weekend, be safe and remain secure. For those of us traveling to different parts of the country to be with our loved ones, please observe road safety precautions at all times," he added.

He also urged Kenyans to remember the less fortunate people during this festive season.
