National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has released a list of over 469 private vehicles, 179 trailers, tractors, Tuk-tuks' and heavy machinery that were missing from the authority's database.
“NTSA has established that critical registration details of the listed vehicles are missing,” read a statement on their website.
According to the road transport regulator, the owners of the listed vehicles' have until June 5, 2019, to present the required details.
Among the documents that NTSA has asked the owners to produce are original and copies of the Logbook, importation documents, national ID and KRA PIN certificate and any other documents that show proof of ownership.
“Public Notice on missing vehicle records: The vehicles must be presented for inspection by June 5, 2019,” NTSA tweeted.
The transport management authority stated that the vehicle owners will also be requested to avail the vehicles at the nearest NTSA motor vehicle inspection Centre.
The missing details emerged when NTSA was undertaking its mandate of verifying the vehicle inspection and registration database.
The transport authority has also filed restrictions on the transactions involving the listed motor vehicles.
