Deputy President William Ruto laughed his heart out after the comedy group Propesa paid him a courtesy visit at his office.
The four-man group claimed to have sought the DPs intervention after Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen defaulted a debt he owed them.
In a mock phone call, one of the group members pretends to call Murkomen and inform him that they had reported him to his boss.
They went on to taunt him by claiming that the DP had demanded he stops everything he was doing and wait for further instructions from Ruto.
“He has told us that the government will not entertain such conmanship, and he does not want any con man in his team,” Propesa stated.
At this point, the DP could not hold back as he broke out into a hearty laughter as the comedian urged the senator to expect a call from Ruto.
Kenya’s second in command was donning a brown (Chaget) jacket that the comedians awarded him as a gift.
The comedians explained to the DP that they had placed a bet with the leader of the majority that he lost but refused to honor his end of the bargain.
DP Ruto jokingly stated that he would follow up with Murkomen and ensure they get what is owed to them.
He went on to promise to pay them in case the senator fails to honour the deal.
The comedians also made the DP promise to attend the match between Kariobangi Sharks and Everton slated for July 7 at the Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.
