Kabogo Asks Uhuru to Arrest Wetangula

Former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to arrest Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula.

Taking to Facebook on Saturday, Kabogo stated that the Ford Kenya party leader should be apprehended and charged after his name was mentioned in the Ksh400 million fake gold scandal

"Mr. President H.E UK this guy Wetangula must be arrested and charged accordingly. Then sent to the UAE to face the Sheikh. Atajua hajui (he needs to learn his lesson)," he wrote.

The former governor also shared an audio clip in which a man whose voice is similar to that of Wetangula is heard implicating President Kenyatta and ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga in the scandal.

In the clip, the man is heard assuring a Dubai gold investor believed to be Ali Zandi that their detained consignment would be released.

“I am a hundred percent sure there is no problem and tell Sheikh not to panic. We are finishing this matter and we will come and toast together

“Raila met with the Head of State on this matter and explained to him and the head of state has called the minister (Matiang’i). In the course of this week we will be able to finish this matter once and for all,” the man stated.

However, the person on the other end of the phone did not seem convinced and asked for quick action on the matter since they had already been paid.

“He took the money, you took the money. What else are you talking about?” the man posed.
