Four people died after eating 'mutura' also known as African sausage suspected to be contaminated at Gishagi area, Ngong in Kajiado County.
Following consumption of the meat sold by the road ide, 17 others are said to have been admitted at different hospitals after complaining of stomach aches and diarrhoea.
According to a report by Citizen Digital, among those who passed away were 3 men and one woman, whom residents now claim to have been victims of a cholera outbreak.
However, Deputy County Commisioner, Kahiro Mwangi, said that autopsy was still being conducted on the bodies of the deceased to establish exact cause of the tragic incident.
Another four including a church bishop died in April last year after consuming contaminated 'mutura', bought from a butchery at Kenlands estate in Nakuru Town.
Survivors accused health officers in Nakuru county of negligence adding that the meet was not inspected.
