Sonko Exposes Police Boss for Covering Up 4-Hour Terror Ordeal [VIDEO]

Nairobi Governor  Mike Sonko has exposed a police boss who reportedly covered-up a terror ordeal at a school that had gone on for at least four hours.

In an interview with K24 TV on Tuesday evening, the flamboyant governor explained that he started receiving calls on Saturday, including one from the principal of the school where the ordeal happened.

Women, children and some teachers of the school were reportedly being attacked by an armed gang which had been sent to unlawfully demolish it in Buruburu Phase 4.

It was at that point that he decided to check up on the issue with the area OCPD who callously replied that there was no problem in the area at all.

"Nilipigiwa na jirani wa shule na Reverend Musimbi, Pastor wa hiyo Kanisa nikaambiwa kuna shida. Then nikasema wacha nipigie OCPD...akasema hakuna shida.

"(I was called by the school neighbours and Reverend Musimbi who is a pastor at that church claiming there was a problem there. Then I decided to call Bururburu OCPD but he told me there was no problem)," he narrated.

He further disclosed that it was then that he decided to excuse himself from another meeting after the calls increased and he stormed the venue.

"Kwa hivyo mimi nikakimbia huko...Kufika saa saba hivi nikapata shule imefungwa. Ilibidi tuingie na fujo ndani. (So I rushed there...on arrival at around 1pm I got the school gate closed so we forcefully got in).

"Ile mambo tuliona haikuwa mambo ya sawa. Kila jambazi alisimama na panga na watoto na wamama wanalia. Jambazi wakikimbia ndio tukauliza walimu nini mbaya wakasema 'tumevamiwa hapa masaa manne'," continued the governor.

(What we saw inside was not okay. The goons were standing with Pangas while mothers and children were crying. The goons then started running away so we asked teachers what was happening and they answered that they had been attacked for four hours).

After further inquiry, Sonko then discovered that the students had been ordered to vacate the premises because a private developer, whose titled deed he established was fake, wanted to put up another structure.

Seemingly angry after witnessing women who had been roughed up by the gang, Sonko and his team apprehended the men sent to evict the residents.

They were subdued and made to sit on the ground handcuffed. It is at this point that Governor Sonko slapped one of the goons who was explaining their mission at the site.

He, however, protected them from residents who were baying for their blood.
