Why This Disabled Man Made Kenyatta Take Off Running [VIDEO]

When Kenya's first President Mzee Jomo Kenyatta met Joseph Kanyoni, he was confused upon realising that he had no hands or feet.

Speaking to Citizen TV reporters, the man who hails from Kiambu, narrated how Kenyatta reacted by running way when they met.

Kanyoni was so good at fine arts that he got an opportunity to see Kenyatta at State House.

"He was greeting us on a line. When he got to where I was, as I was extending my hand, he quickly retracted his and ran away.

"Shouting from the place he had fled to, he asked, 'What sort of man is he?' I told him 'Mzee I'm a human being'."

Mzee then asked in shock, "You are even talking?" before continuing to ask what happened to Kanyoni's forearms and feet.

When the man answered that he was born that way, Kenyatta responded, "So it is not an animal that chopped them off?"

Kenyatta finally contained his disbelief and commented, "God is indeed all-powerful."

Mzee is not the only person who Kanyoni amazed with his disability. He narrated that one time, after ordering tea at a hotel, women whom he sat next to fled from him.

Upon asking why, someone told Kanyoni that they thought he would ask them to help him drink the tea.

To their surprise, he did not require any assistance moving the cup of tea from the table to his mouth.

Despite not having hands, Kanyoni can till his pineapple farm using a hoe as well as peel pineapples all by himself.

He is happily married and a father of five, all who are grown-ups.
