Man Who Defiled Children and Paid Them Only Ksh3

Tharaka Nithi residents were on Saturday left in shock when a 38-year-old man was arrested for defiling three primary school boys in Kiamucii village, Chuka Subcounty in Meru.

The suspect, a casual laborer who lives alone in a single room, told Kiamucii Assistant Chief Celina Kanjiru that the children had been visiting to play with him.

The incident was brought to light by the boys' headteacher who found the three boys fighting over a Ksh10 coin that they were to share.

Upon interrogation, the minors aged between six and ten years old revealed that the money was given to them by the suspect.

According to reports by Nation, the three minors were from poor families had been frequently defiled by the suspect since December 2018.

According to statements by the administrator, one of the six-year-old boys narrated how he had to endure pain to get the Ksh10 to buy something to eat.

Medical reports of the boys who were taken to Chuka County Referral Hospital revealed that they had indeed been sodomized. The suspect is being held at Chuka Police Station for questioning and possible prosecution.

The boys also revealed the presence of many other victims from their neighborhood. “The boys come from very poor families,” commented Kanjiru.

However, residents of Kiamucii found it hard to believe the incident and one James Kimathi even went ahead and described the suspect as a humble man.

"The suspect goes to church every Sunday and we least expected him to commit such a crime," stated Kimathi.
