CS Matiang'i Reveals Special People Who Influence His Decisions [VIDEO]

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i is known for his tough stance on matters and has now opened up about the group of people who influences him.

In a video shared by Daily Nation on Saturday, the no-nonsense CS explained that he considers the welfare of children before coming up with directives.

He disclosed that it was important to consider their welfare and good upbringing because they are given to humanity as a gift from God.

"We have a responsibility and in these responsibilities, we have choices to make. We have to choose whether we are going to honour God our creator by raising up these children who are gifts from God in a responsible manner and doing the right thing or we are going to listen to the voice of the devil.

"Every decision I make is driven by the consideration of the welfare of our children," he stated.

He was speaking in condemnation of the current craze for money especially in the betting industry.

He also challenged other leaders to put the children's needs first before making major decision because raising upright children in society is the key to a good society.

"Are we driven and led by the quest for money that worships gambling and gaming and illicit brews and all these other madness?" He posted.

Matiang'i, through the Betting Control and Licensing Board, put up a spirited fight against gambling including limiting the times the betting companies adverts get aired.

In early May, the board directed that all gambling firms should avoid open-door advertising and prevented celebrities from endorsing the brands since they had a potential to become harmful to the consumer through addiction.

Justice David Mativodeclared the ban unconstitutional stating that it was tainted with illegality and unreasonableness.
