Defiant Boniface Mwangi Forces Govt Motorcade to Change Direction [VIDEO]

Activist Boniface Mwangi on Monday morning displayed his usual bravado after he blocked a ‘VIP’ motorcade in a Nairobi highway, forcing it to change direction.

According to a video he shared online, the incident happened along Langata road at Shell petrol station, next to Wilson Airport.

Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, Mwangi, however, disclosed that he did not establish the occupants of the motorcade.

In the video, the photojournalist-cum-activist is seen refusing to pave the way to an oncoming motorcade with sirens that was driving on the wrong side of the road.

A man, who appears to be one of the bodyguards, is then seen coming out of one of the ‘VIP’ cars perhaps to try and convince Mwangi to move his Mercedes Benz, but he remains adamant vowing not to move an inch.

Noticing that he had refused to give way, the motorcade finally changed direction and sped off in a huff.

“I only give way to ambulances and fire engines. I block entitled civil servants and politician who love to use sirens to avoid traffic.

"As a taxpayer, I expect the people in these big cars to follow the law and work towards solving the perennial traffic jams” Mwangi's video captioned.

This is not the first time the activist is blocking a "VIP motorcade".

In March, he blocked another VIP motorcade on the same road just next to the Bomas of Kenya.
