Watch MP Shower Hundreds of Dollars on TV Presenter

Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega on Sunday gifted Ksh100,000 in the form of US dollars to Inooro TV/FM Presenter Anne Muratha.

He was attending a thanksgiving concert at Ruiru Stadium organised to mark 10 years of Muratha's media career in the Royal Media owned station.

Before giving the cash, the MP thanked the presenter for the many years she had utilized radio and TV to advise women as well as highlight the plight of the boychild.

"I came to support you because I'm pleased with you. You also share my mother's name and you remind me of her.

"I have brought you Ksh 100,000 in US dollars because there is confusion about the new and old Kenyan currency," Kanini quipped.

The legislator then reached back into his pocket, removed his wallet and started counting the notes out loud and handed them to the TV host for all to see.

Close examination of the footage showed that the notes were in 100 dollar bills.

Other Politicians who attended the gathering included Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, MPs Simon Kingara (Ruiru), Simon Mbugua (EALA) and Reuben Ndolo, Kalembe Ndile, Stanley Livondo and MCAs from various counties led by Ruiru Biashara Ward MCA Elijah Njoroge.

They all showered praise on the seasoned presenter and promised to make generous donations to her.

"Thank you Ruiru/Kiambu county and all my fans out there for the support all through. I’m humbled," she posted on her Facebook page.
