Starehe MP Charles Njagua will have to spend a couple more nights behind bars after Nairobi Resident Magistrate Sinkiyan Tobiko denied his bail application.
The magistrate ruled that Jaguar would be held for three working days.
That means that he will still be remanded at Kileleshwa Police Station on Saturday and Sunday which won't count, bringing the total days to five.
Jaguar will be expected back in court on Tuesday.
Authorities wanted him behind bars for more days as they put together a case against him.
The musician turned politician was arrested outside Parliament following his remarks on foreigners working in Kenya that were termed as xenophobic.
The youthful legislator had threatened to gather a team of young men and women to round up foreigners operating in sections of the City, beat them up then escort them to the airport for deportation.
He was arrested for failure to present himself at the Parliament Police Station.
His statement rocked the nation with the Tanzanian Parliament discussing the matter and ordering their President John Pombe Magufuli to issue a statement on the situation of their nationals operating businesses in Kenya.
The Kenyan government has since denounced the remarks made by the Starehe MP, with Interior CS Fred Matiang'i vowing not to tolerate such statements.
