Ruto Should Not Die Over the Presidency - Analyst Herman Manyora [VIDEO]

Political analyst Herman Manyora has advised DP William Ruto not to die over the presidency.

Speaking on his YouTube channel Take Or Leave It, Manyora stated that the country's topmost seat was not a matter of life and death.

He told the DP that he should not lose his life in his pursuit to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.

"Ruto, I know you want to be the president of Kenya, perfectly well. It is your right. You deserve it. I will not even hesitate to support you but is the presidency a matter of life and death? Must you be the president?

"Being the president of a poor third world country like Kenya is not worth dying for. It's not that important. This is a backward country which is collapsing under debt burden and mismanagement," he stated.

His sentiments came in the wake of reports of an alleged assassination plot targetting Ruto.

On Monday, ICT CS Joe Mucheru, his Health counterpart Sicily Kariuki, Trade & Industrialization CS Peter Munya presented themselves to the DCI after the DP reportedly filed a complaint over the phone.

Speaking to journalists at the DCI offices along Kiambu Road, Munya rubbished the claims and termed them as wild and unsubstantiated.

He also revealed that they could not record a statement because there was no written allegation they could respond to.

"We went out of our way, we wanted to write those statements but it became apparent that there is no written complaint.

"All they have is a purported letter that has been circulating on social media and we told them that we could not respond to that kind of a latter," Munya explained.
