Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, unleashed his rapping skills on Milele FM during a past interview in May 2019.
At the end of the interview, the presenters, among them Jalang'o, challenged Sonko to rap as he had, during a meeting with Jamaican reggae group, Morgan Heritage.
"Wakati umefika kwa mafala kujing'oa, warui wa wilaya na wale wa mikoa, nyote ni mafala mnapigwa nao sana, sikizeni kwa makini..." rapped Sonko amidst cheers from the presenters.
The rap loosely translates to, "Time has come for silly people to vacate, thugs from abroad as well as those from our regions, all of you are silly since you are getting defeated a lot, listen carefully..."
Sonko is known for his love of music the support he extends to artists whenever he's in a position to.
Nairobi residents are blessed to have elected leaders who are musically creative.
Senator Johnson Sakaja has also showcased his rapping skills, numerous times, even at State House.
During a performance session in 2017, Sakaja rapped one of his old songs to the merriment of President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Nairobi Woman Representative, Rachael Shebesh, who danced along.
Before getting into elective politics, he had given a shot at the music industry.
His creativity doesn't stop there, Sakaja can also play the guitar.
When he appeared on a past episode of Citizen TV's JKLive, he played the guitar as the host, Jeff Koinange, sang Kenny Rogers' Gambler hit song.
