Media personality Kalekye Mumo recently opened up how difficult it is for her to find a partner.

While appearing on NTV's Wicked Edition, the former radio presenter and TV host revealed that it has been a challenge finding someone to settle down with because most people think that she is wealthy.

"The boychild does not want to work for what they see a person like me having. They have become lazy.

"They want to date me yet they are only 20-years-old at that time because they think I can sponsor their lives. They don't want to work. I feel it's a generational problem," she asserted.

She also disclosed that when she was young her mother discouraged her from marrying from certain tribes.

"My mum told me once don't ever bring a Luo or someone from Western. You'd rather be married by an Indian.

"So I asked her where has that come from. She told me you don't know those people so in the back of my head I'll be asking them where they come from," Kalekye added.

She also disabused the notion that women can't be successful on their own with being helped by a man.

Kalekye stated that she has been stereotyped from a young age. Most people assume that she is wealthy thus unapproachable.
