Ngirici Speaks Out After Being Excluded From Waiguru’s Wedding

On Saturday, Kirinyaga Woman Representative, Wangui Ngirici, proclaimed her wishes on Anne Waiguru as the governor walks down the aisle.

Waiguru excluded the woman rep from her wedding guest list, according to Nation. The two do not see eye to eye.

She should guard her husband because good men are rare to find and that’s why we jealously guard ours,” Ngirici spoke her heart out.

Central MP, John Munene, was also not invited as well as a section of “rebel” MCAs.

Last Sunday, the governor’s deputy, Peter Ndambiri, urged residents to turn out in large numbers. He spoke to worshippers at Nyagithuci Catholic Church.

I urge you to seek divine intervention for the governor as she gets ready to take the marriage vows,” Peter prayed.

The wedding, scheduled to take place at Kiamugumo Primary School, will be attended by over 2,000 high-profile guests.

On Saturday, Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru and city lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo will formalise their union.

The couple was also not forthcoming on whether they will proceed on honeymoon immediately after the event.

“Tell Kenyans to be patient. They will see us gladly serving them come Monday,” Waiganjo played coy.

According to the lawyer, those without the invitation cards will not be sent away, but will have difficulties getting a seat.

Days prior to the governor’s wedding were marred with turmoil, as she had to square off with doctors, nurses and clinical officers who went on strike.

They had even threatened to disrupt her wedding. However, Waiguru breathed a sigh of a relief after the court declared the strike illegal.
