Jeff Koinange's Major Regret Since Bob Collymore Died

Citizen TV news anchor, Jeff Koinange, has disclosed what he regrets most after he lost his friend, former Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, to acute myeloid leukaemia.

In an interview, the JKLive Show presenter divulged that he regretted not telling the late CEO how great a human being he was.

"It's been more than two weeks now but it has not yet hit me that he is gone. Sometimes, I still sit down and imagine Bob walking in and asking us how we are doing. 'Hey guys, did you miss me?'

"Bob always told us that he was not perfect, but that he learnt from his faults and mistakes," the presenter recalled.

The country was introduced to Bob's innermost circle of friends during a JKLive show when they recounted their last days with him.

Collymore's friends hosted during the show included; Managing Director Standard Chartered Bank Lamin Manjang, KCB CEO Joshua Oigara, WPP-Scangroup CEO Bharat Thakrar and politician Peter Kenneth.

They shed light on some of the memorable moments they shared with their late friend.

In a tribute by the Radio Africa CEO, Patrick Quarcoo, he revealed what Collymore had told them during their last meeting.

"He calmly told us, 'If I get three more days, I will be lucky.' We asked what we must do, should we part. 'Stay together, stand by Wambui'," Quarcoo recalled.

"With a twinkle in his eye, he said, 'If there are ghosts, I will come and rustle the curtains and on birthdays when you light the candles for my children, I will come and help blow them out'," he continued.
