Ian Oparanya, the son of Kakamega Governor, Wycliffe Oparanya, on Friday, graduated from Bradford University in the United Kingdom.

The governor's son graduated with first-class honours in Economics at the University.

A delighted Ian took to his social media platforms to announce the good news, divulging that he had acquired a first class honours.

"I’m a happy man today because God my Heavenly Father has blessed the work of my hand. I have made my dad Wycliffe Oparanya and My Mum Tabitha Ambetsa proud parents. I have made my family and friends proud," he posted.

He went ahead to thank his Facebook followers, citing that most of them believed in him more than he did.

"Thank you so much for your motivating comments and once again Thank you God for this first class honours," he added.

This comes hardly two weeks after Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko's daughter, Janetta Nyamu, graduated from Daystar University.

She had penned a heart-warming message to her parents after she graduated with a Business diploma.

"Today I graduate from one of the best Christian university in East Africa and I lack ways to show my gratitude for all that you have done for me," she wrote.
