DPP Lead Murder Officer in Search of Boniface Mwangi

The Head of the Murder Section at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, has formally reached out to human rights activist Boniface Mwangi.

This is in relation to the case in which a 15-year-old girl, Ebby Noel Samuels, died at Gatanga CCM Girls High School, where she had recently joined as a Form One student.

"Head of the Murder Section has been trying to get in touch with you for further particulars. Kindly respond," the DPP tweeted.

Mwangi had brought Ebby's mysterious murder to the public domain back on March 14, 2019.

The preliminary reports reveal the student had fallen from her decker bed on January 28, 2019, and no foul play was suspected.

However, a postmortem conducted by three pathologists, the one representing the Government, school and the family's showed the student died as a result of head injury caused by a blunt injury.

Thereby throwing the entire case wide open, regarding what could have caused Ebby's early demise.

Her mother, Martha Wanjiru, confessed to having received the heartbreaking news when she arrived at the school on the fateful day.

"On arriving at the school at about 9:35 am, I found my daughter's lifeless, ice-cold, body with a swollen tummy. She also had foam in her nostrils. On inquiring to know what had happened, the principal told me that my daughter had gone to sleep the previous night, but failed to wake up in the morning," a sombre Wanjiru narrated.

The distressed mother has been crying for justice regarding her late daughter, and the Head of Murder Section at the ODPP is hoping that Mwangi can help shed more light on the matter.
