Excitement as Mohammed Salah Spends Night in Nairobi

Netizens were on Wednesday excited by a photo of English Premier League star, Mohamed Salah, that surfaced on social media showing that he was in the country.

The Liverpool player was spotted in Nairobi on Tuesday night where he rested for the night on transit to an undisclosed location.

He was booked at Hilton Garden Inn along Mombasa Road on the same night and is reported to have left very early Wednesday morning.

In a photo that was seen by Kenyans.co.ke, the casually dressed Salah rocked a white Tshirt, black sweatpants, and black sporty sleek shoes.

In the background, a portrait of President Uhuru Kenyatta seems to photobomb the photo session Salah had with a resident, Steve Maina.

Game Yetu confirmed that it was indeed true that Salah jetted in Kenya on Tuesday evening and left on Wednesday at around 7 a.m.

“Yes. Salah was here. He came in on Tuesday evening and checked out early morning today. He was on transit,” an official from the hotel told Game Yetu.

He also told of fans' jubilation the minute ‘Mo’ stepped into the hotel.

"Fans could not hide their excitement when Salah walked in. Everyone wanted a picture with him and Moh agreed to sign some autographs for them.

"His team came here and talked to one of our bosses. They didn't want any information out. However, we enjoyed his stay," a waiter at the hotel divulged.

Reports by The Star revealed that the hotel administration was under strict orders by his team to ensure the Premier League top scorer got a low-profile reception at the facility.

“We didn't know where he was heading,” a waiter disclosed.

Fans who could not keep their calm commenting on his photos with various comments.

"Weuweeeehhh!!!!! Karibu Kenya. I hope he was taught greetings in Kiswahili," an excited Netizen posted

Salah's visit is the second in the country from Liverpool players with the former being that of Luis Garcia in the past entertaining Chapa Dimba na Safaricom tournament
