Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, was, on Thursday, delighted in finding out that he seems to share a trait with Tanzanian President, John Pombe Magufuli.
Taking to social media, the governor was stunned with the fact that Magufuli talked to Uhuru on speakerphone in a room full of people.
Sonko had, back in 2014, called the president in public to stop the demolition of some 25 houses in South B area, Nairobi County.
In the latest episode, Magufuli, on Wednesday, called President Uhuru Kenyatta after Foreign Affairs CS, Monica Juma, successfully delivered a gold consignment on his behalf.
Sonko shared a video clip of their conversation and captioned it with a message to insinuate that Magufuli and himself possessed similar traits.
"Ehehehe!!!! Huyu Rais Magufuli ni kama Sonko tu yaani anaweka HE Uhuru kwa speaker phone mbele ya umati. Ki TZ nikigumu sana jameni, atii Monica ameshusha mzigo salama.
(President Magufuli is just like Sonko especially since he spoke to Uhuru while on speakerphone in front of a maltitude. Tanzanian language is hard after the phrase 'Monica delivered the package safely)," shared Sonko.
The conversation between the two leaders was filled with light moments where they cracked one joke after another, but still maintained the agenda of helping citizens of the two countries.
Uhuru assured his counterpart of the continued cordial relationship that would help improve the economies of the two countries.
Magufuli also handed the phone to his vice president Samia Suluhu to pass her regards.
When handed back the phone, Magufuli could not hold back his admiration for the CS whom Uhuru had sent and opened up stating that she was not only beautiful but also knew her work.
