Millie Odhiambo Reveals Why She Doesn't Live With Husband on Citizen TV

Suba member of the National Assembly, Millie Odhiambo, on Friday night, opened up about the nature of her relationship with her Zimbabwean husband, Magugu Mabona.

Speaking to journalist Lillian Muli, the no-nonsense lawmaker disclosed that her husband is based in Zimbabwe and that he frequents Nairobi to spend time with her.

The two met online and would later meet for the first time and she was swept of her feet with Magugu's simple act of carrying a bible.

“Sometimes you win strong people's hearts with the simplest of things. When I saw him, he was carrying a Bible. That, for me, is greater than anything.

“I know it is not the most romantic of things. However, he was good looking too and it is rare to see a good looking man carrying a Bible,” Millie narrated in an interview with Citizen TV.

She further revealed that she is a spiritual woman and that she always prays together with her nieces and nephews whenever they come to visit.

While on the show, the lawmaker also recalled a time she was undressed while in Parliament and how it affected her.

"People will always want to attack you below the belt. The men will not want to have fair competition so first, they will either try a physical attack on you but mainly it will be a sexual attack.

"Once they attack you, they will turn around and say you are the one with the problem. Like in that incident in Parliament, three members actually two of them were pulling up my dress as I pull it down... When we came out, they kept saying how Millie removed her panties," she recounted.

She also explained that she walked away from millions of Corporate law and opted for politics in order to uplift the poor and women.
