Nairobi Governor, Mike Sonko, on Tuesday, sent a stern warning to former Minister, Cyrus Jirongo.
According to Sonko, Jirongo had sold a public playground in South B, to a buyer, Horeria, in the '80s and he needed to refund the buyer.
Claims by the buyer's son stated that the family has been in possession of the land since 1983, having bought it from Jirongo.
"Look for Jirongo, tell him to look for Horeria and refund him his money or else I will expose him," threatened the Governor.
"He cannot sell a public playground belonging to South B residents, to an innocent old man. He should refund the money plus interest," he declared.
Sonko also accused Jirongo of seven other accounts of land grabbing that he (Sonko) has been trying to uncover.
This comes after Sonko led a contingent of security officials from South B, in nabbing a group of panga-wielding goons.
The group of young men was said to have been hired by Horeria, to lead the take over of the same piece of land.
In the video, the youth are seen trying to escape after they realised they had been cornered, ditching their weapons in a bid to evade the governor and his team.
After all the goons were rounded up, the governor was overheard ranting and cursing at the young men, for being used to grab public property in the city.
A group of local residents, who alerted the governor of the ongoings, also claimed that the alleged land grabber had earlier sent police to man the field.
Sonko promised to follow up on the issue and even develop it to be an ultra-modern recreational place.
After the meeting with Horeira and his son, the goons were released by the governor on grounds that they were following their boss' order.
