Kiambu MCAs' Gift for Judge Who Barred Waititu From Office [VIDEO]

Kiambu MCAs have come out to praise judges they credit for barring Governor Ferdinand Waititu from accessing the county offices.

Led by Ruiru township, Biashara ward representative, Elijah Njoroge, the legislators requested Justice Mumbi Ngugi and Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi to go collect a goat from them as a reward for a job well done.

They thanked Mugambi and Ngugi for blocking the county head from accessing the offices thus paving way for his deputy to take charge.

“I would like to ask the two judges Mumbi and Mugambi to come for their goat from the people of Kiambu,” Njoroge stated.

He further asked governor Waititu to do the Kiambu electorate a favour by penning down a resignation letter.

“He should go a step further and refund everything that he is being accused of having acquired in an illegal way,” the Ruiru ward rep added.

Njoroge also revealed that an impeachment motion against Waititu was cooking and was 70 per cent complete.

“I’m preparing an impeachment motion that is 70 per cent complete and set to be tabled in the next two weeks to kick Waititu out of Kiambu,” Njoroge added.

The MCAs noted that the move was to empower his deputy, James Nyoro, who took is now in charge of the county in the absence of Babayao.

“Despite the deputy governor taking over, he is limited by the law and there as such, he cant make some decisions thus blocking the county development progress,” Njoroge divulged.

They finalised by asking elders to have a sitting with the governor, noting that all those men accused of indulging in embezzlement of funds never did so with their wives and children.
