Kimilili MP, Hon. Didmus Barasa, was, on Saturday, involved in a road accident.
According to reports, the accident occurred at Ndengelwa area along Malaba-Bumgoma-Webuye- Eldoret Highway.
The accident was reportedly caused by overspeeding but the lawmaker escaped with minor injuries.
The driver of the Toyota Prado veered off the road which resulted in the car rolling over several times.
"Sad news Kimilili MP Hon. Didmus Barasa involved in a Road accident at Ndengelwa. The good news is no injuries and we are all safe and sound. God is good," read a statement from the lawmaker's press team.
In the photos seen by Kenyans.co.ke, Barasa's car had overturned.
According to his social media accounts, two hours before the accident, the lawmaker had attended a funeral of the late Mzee Saul Masinde Wamukota in Webuye West Sub-County to condole with them.
The car reportedly hit two cyclists while careening off the road.
The injured were taken to Bungoma County Referral Hospital for emergency care.
It is not clear how many people were in the car at the time of the accident.
