City Motorist Threatens to Shoot Driver in Fit of Road Rage

A Kenyan motorist, Bramwel Iro, found himself staring at the face of death as he was confronted by an angry motorist along Statehouse Crescent Road over the weekend.

He sent out a thread of tweets narrating his close shave, going on to flag the perpetrator by pointing him out to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).

The two motorists had clashed before they arrived at Statehouse Crescent Road, with Iro revealing that he refused to give way to the unidentified driver.

"Earlier Outside the Ethiopian Embassy on Statehouse Crescent I had declined to move ‘the little car' I was driving to make way for his. There was clearly enough room for him to pass but he wanted me to back up even if I was on the correct lane. He had a teenage boy in the passenger seat," he tweeted.

The gun-wielding driver then intentionally hit Iro's car, causing a traffic pile-up on the busy road.

"A few people had started to notice including one of the officers guarding the Embassy. He backs up slightly so that the bumper’s don’t touch but the insults keep coming. He takes a photo of me and the car as part of more intimidation. I just get back into the car and sit there," Iro narrated.

The incident caught the attention of a G4S officer who ordered the rowdy driver in his green Toyota Landcruiser V8 to back up in order for other motorists to get through.

"He is clearly unhappy and humiliated and as I drive past he says to me through the window 'Hii Nairobi hautatoboa'. I had not noticed that he had followed me after dropping off the boy until he was directly behind me near the UON roundabout," Iro divulged.

The unidentified driver the pulled up alongside Iro, drew a gun out and threatened to finish him off right there and then.

Other motorists stuck behind him started hooting, forcing him to pull ahead to let them through.

This allowed Iro the opportunity to take a photo of his assailant's registration's plate, which he went on to share with the DCI.
