NTV Anchor Roasts Senator After Walking Into Interview Late [VIDEO]

As is the norm of any TV interview, most guests arrive way earlier than the time the show is supposed to begin.

That was not the case for Kiambu Senator, Kimani Wamatangi, during NTV’s AM  Live show on Wednesday.

Wamatangi blatantly walked on to the set as the show host, Debarl Inea was talking to former Gem MP, Jakoyo Midiwo, and what followed was a hilarious troll on the senator.

“So let us let in Wamatangi who is always running late. Welcome Wamatangi and today we punish you by making you sit between your fellow guests,” Debarl stated while laughing.

Rarieda MP, Otiende Amollo, who had been seated silently flipping through the newspapers, sarcastically suggested that NTV should get the senator a room at Nation Centre to spend his nights, to avoid his lateness.

The host was forced to mic the senator live on air while complaining about the frustration of doing so.

It was at this moment that Debarl claimed that the Kiambu legislator was dressed in a blouse, making it hard for him to attach the microphone.

“Where is this collar and buttoning side? This is a blouse for the ladies,” the news anchor noted.

Midiwo jumped on the bandwagon and laughed at Wamatangi’s white blouse.

When the senator's mic was successfully attached, he went on defence mode claiming that he is usually in town as early as 4am on a daily basis, thus did not need a place to sleep at Nation Centre.

“What are you doing in town at 4am and you are always late for a 6am an interview?” Amollo asked laughing off the senator's defence.

Midiwo came to Wamatangi’s defence revealing that the senator had a healthy habit of exercising every morning and making money during the day.
