Sabina Chege Takes Ruto's Title at De'Mathew's Funeral

Murang'a Woman Representative Sabina Chege, on Saturday, revealed that she shared a similar characteristic to Deputy President William Ruto.

Speaking during Kikuyu Benga musician John De'Mathew's funeral service, the legislator stated that she was not only a hustler but the original hustler having worked as a broadcaster prior to joining politics.

"When you see people referring me to Mama wa county, know that I have started from far. And when you are called the hustler, I'm the original hustler," she stated.

She further divulged that she began when she was a little girl and had even sung a song with the Benga musician.

"I was an actor in the popular show Tausi and engaged in many plays," she added.

Sabina stated that she was the producer of John's song which was the first Kikuyu song to be put on a CD.

Addressing rumours in the media, the MP declared that she was not the musician's lover.

She revealed that she considered De'Mathew as her elder brother while narrating how they met in the music industry.

“John (De'Mathew) and I met in the music industry when I was a radio presenter and I saw his talent,” the legislator spoke.
