Veteran comedienne-turned-politician, Eunice Wambui alias Nyasuguta, has reportedly joined the gospel industry after surviving two accidents.
According to the renown actress, who spoke to The Star, she was joining the church ministry besides doing comedy in order to strengthen her relationship with God.
She disclosed that she will be ministering alongside her TV husband, Francis Njenga better known as Mogaka
"We want to start poaching souls to Christ," she proclaimed.
The former Vitimbi actress narrated that her turning point was a month ago when she was involved in her second road accident.
The first incident happened in 2013, where she was left with a dented face that ultimately forced her to bleach her face.
"The dent was lighter than other parts of my face, consequently making me look like a person who has two facial complexions in one. I saw it wise to bleach so that my face gets an even skin tone. It is my mum who encouraged me," she revealed.
"I know I got the accident to be able to get time with my God, You know we celebs, sometimes, we become so busy that we even forget to serve God.
"When I was admitted to the hospital, I got time to even read the Bible. Sometimes, when the pastor is preaching and they see like the church is boring, they tend to invite us to entertain the congregation. Hadi unasahau ulikuja church kuomba (Until you forget that you had come to church to pray)," Nyasuguta opened up.
Ahead of the 2017 General Election, Nyasuguta announced that she was vying for the Embakasi South parliamentary seat under the Jubilee Alliance Party.
Nyasuguta told a local publication that people were finding it hard to believe her as they had gotten used to her antics as a comedian.
“Some of them still can’t differentiate my character from TV to the politician that I plan to become,” Nyasuguta asserted at the time.
