Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko's daughter, Saumu Mbuvi, has penned a touching message to her late mother.
On her Instagram page, Saumu disclosed that losing her mother, was one of the most painful things that she had encountered.
"It's an everlasting sadness that you are no longer here, but every year I like to think that you are near us, your love for us was constant and your devotion had no end.
"You filled my life with sunshine as a mother and my bestfriend. So may you forever know that to me you are the best," she wrote.
Saumu acknowledged that her mother's memory would always be engraved in her mind, adding that she would always love and miss her.
"May you find gentle peace in sweet eternal rest. I will forever love and miss you my guardian angel," she concluded.
The young entrepreneur was celebrating her mother's 11th anniversary since she passed on.
According to a previous post by Sonko, the late Njeri Wangui was his high school sweetheart and while in form four, they welcomed their daughter, Saumu.
In an number of occasions, Sonko has stated that he has two wives.
