Joho's 'Neighbour' Joke Cracks Uhuru Into Tears

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Thursday, September 5, left President Uhuru Kenyatta in stitches after a joke he made when he hosted him.

The President was in Mombasa to open the annual Agricultural Show of Kenya (ASK).

During the event, Joho who stood to address the gathering disclosed that he had learned the true definition of the word malice, and went on to make a joke about it.

"There are three communities, the Luo, Kikuyu and the Swahili. One time a man and his friend were summoned and informed that whatever the former requested for, his friend would get double," began Joho.

"The Luo man was asked to name what he wanted, and he asked for a Mercedez Benz and his colleague got two of the classy car."

"The Kikuyu, on the other hand, agreed to ask for money on condition that the total they would get to split the money equally." Joho continued.

"He asked for Ksh1 million, his partner got Ksh2 million and they split as agreed, each getting Ksh1.5 million," he went on amid growing giggles from the audience.

The Swahili, on the other hand, was not pleased with the fact that his friend would get double what he got, so instead, he made a malicious request.

"I request that you pierce my eye so that both of my neighbour's eyes will be pierced as well..."

At this point, the president could no longer contain himself, he laughed his lungs out, wiping tears brought by the light moment.

The governor concluded by urging the audience to be happy with other people's progress, especially those in leadership positions.
