Moha Jicho Pevu Fires at Joho for Reporting Him to Uhuru

Nyali MP, Mohammed Ali, fired back at Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Friday 6, 2019, after remarks he made during the Agricultural Show of Kenya (ASK) in Mombasa.

The governor had told him off after he previously accused his family of solely gaining from the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) deals, while residents lost their source of livelihoods.

The MP had called on the DCI and the DPP to investigate on the matter.

In his response on Thursday 5, 2019, the county boss called on coast leaders to work together with him for the benefit of the locals.

“Most of us are where we are because of sacrifice; hence we are calling on our haters to come and work with us for the benefit of locals,” he stated.

Moha Jicho Pevu, as he is popularly known, took to his Facebook page to tell off the governor, whom he stated had painted the coast leaders in bad light, in the presence of the Head of State.

"To say the least, the speech was not only an insult to the coastal community but a far-fetched negative characterization of the people," he remarked.

He added that the analogy made by Joho attempted to taint all those who held him accountable for his actions as 'evil'.

"...but other diligent coast compatriots and I shall continue asking Joho all the hard questions on accountability. We shall speak out when rural roads are impassable We shall ask on ECD education. We shall keep speaking out when garbage is uncollected.

We shall speak on youth unemployment and the drug menace. We shall speak out when devolution funds are not serving the purpose they were intended for," he responded.
