Ida Odinga Mocks Mariga Over Kibra Fiasco [VIDEO]
Ida Odinga is not known much for engaging in political battles, or for that matter, commenting on political issues as much as other members of her family.
But on Wednesday, September 11, she could not hold back as she dug into Jubilee's Kibra mini poll candidate McDonald Mariga after the IEBC invalidated his candidature.
In a video published by Standard Digital, Ida who was speaking in Kisumu mocked the footballer for dropping the sport for politics and failing on the first trial.
She further noted that the Jubilee candidate should have stuck with the sport that took him across the world rather than wading into politics.
She compared him to his compatriot Dennis Oliech who is best known for his footballing skills opining that Mariga had spoilt his legacy.
"Have you heard of the name Dennis Oliech? What has he excelled in? Football isn't it? Think of Mariga, I can not use that as a good example because, when he changed the profession, you see how he failed," Ida stated amid giggles.
"If he would have stuck to football he would do much much better," Ida added
When she was done tearing into Mariga Ida turned her wrath on the Kisumu county assembly after the chaos reported during the discussion of the motion to oust the county speaker facing prosecution in the LBDA scandal.
"The assembly is a place for discussions and you beat them in discussions, not the physical way," Ida concluded.
She had visited the Anyang' Nyong'o-led county to officiate the opening of a three-storey school building housing 12 classrooms at Wandiege Primary School, Kisumu East Sub County.
Ida was accompanied by Nyong'o, his deputy Ochieng' Owili and Kisumu East MP Shakeel Shabir.
