Sonko's Daughter Rants After Fiancé Caught in Baby Drama

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko's daughter, Saumu Mbuvi on Tuesday, lashed out after claims of her fiance's involvement in baby drama.

Saumu took to her Instagram, savagely lecturing the woman involved, Hanifa Were, for being an opportunist after she claimed to be pregnant for the senator, after meeting him only three weeks ago.

The angry Saumu went ahead to dismiss Hanifa's claims as lies, adding that her aim was to use the senator as a cash cow.

“Septic tank era of woman. You meet a man on Facebook, a month later you are in love and pregnant because you have it all planned out. Something doesn’t totally add up," she posted.

She further recommended that Hanifa should look for a job instead of seeking to tarnish the senator's reputation.

"Get a job, start a business selling clothes or foodstuffs other than sitting there waiting to destroy a man who has gone through a lot to be who he is. If you have not been part of his pain and struggles, why try come and act like there's so much you can add to his life?" she questioned.

"Show someone the nudity of your soul by making him a better man but not destroying him. Help him work out more deals or open more businesses than just spending his money, work out with him on how he can leave a better legacy for his children. If you have nothing better to add to a person leave them just how you found them,” Saumu retorted.

This was after Hanifa took to the press on Sunday, September 15, in the presence of members of Muslims for Human Rights group, claiming that the legislator had threatened to kill her after they separated.

She claimed that Loitiptip initiated their relationship on Facebook after offering her money, before growing cold and distancing himself from her.

"He texted me on (Facebook) Messenger. I was hesitant when he introduced himself as a senator. I did not even know there was a senator by that name but after exchanging contacts we got to video chat and that's when I confirmed it was him," she recounted.

Hanifa then allegedly moved to Nairobi to be with him. She claimed the two lived together until she sensed he was lying to her about late-night meetings. She, therefore, packed her bags and returned to her coastal hometown.

Three weeks after their separation, she discovered she was pregnant and claims that the senator "became hostile towards me but I decided to keep my baby."

Hanifa later learned of his relationship with Sonko's daughter and claimed that when she tried to reach out, the lawmaker started sending her threatening messages.

The senator brushed off the woman's claims, explaining that he was not responsible for her child and that their relationship had only lasted for a week.

He further told the press that he reached out to Hanifa after she started threatening his wife and that the Directorate of Criminal Investigations had launched an investigation into the matter.
