Little Girl Cries in Moving Tribute at Collapsed School [VIDEO]

A seven-year-old girl on Friday, September 27, made a moving tribute to schoolmates who lost their lives at Precious Talent School in Nairobi.

In a memorial service graced by ODM leader Raila Odinga, Nairobi Woman Representative, Esther Passaris and Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga among other leaders, the Abilasha Muthoni recited a touching poem in honour of the eight pupils.

"In one brief moment, you slipped away into the next life. What a sad day in this country? You have left a void in your families, Precious Talents School, community and Kenya at large," she recited.

"The fact that you will never laugh, joke or laugh and play again, makes it more painful," a sad Abilisha continued as tears rolled down her cheeks.

At this point, Passaris approached the little girl and wiped out her tears.

"Though our hearts weigh heavily, we are all at peace, knowing that in God's hearts you have rested. To the families, may God comfort you at this time. To the injured ones, I wish you a speedy recovery, shine on the way my late fellow students," she concluded between bouts of tears.

Muthoni then walked to greet the ODM Leader, who hugged her warmly and whispered in her ears.

On Monday, September 23, eight pupils from the school died after a two-storey building collapsed.

The school proprietor, Moses Wainaina, was arrested on Thursday, September 26, in Nairobi.

His arrest came after Education CS George Magoha revoked the license of the school over safety concerns.
