Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna mourned the death of his sister-in-law, Angelina Aoko Ondiek, on September 28, 2019.
Taking to social media, he described how close he was with his departed kin.
“You raised me when I was a young boy. We have had a fantastic relationship for decades. You had the heart of pure gold,” read the advocate’s statement.
He went on to lament over the difficult position he had been put in exile- unable to mourn with his family members.
“Unfortunately, the despots (President Uhuru Kenyatta and allies) have made sure that I could not say goodbye to you. Rest in Peace,” Miguna added, alluding to the fact that he was no longer able to travel back to Kenya as he wished.
Netizens sent kind wishes to the exiled barrister, comforting him for the loss.
“May her soul rest in peace. We are praying for you general to come back to our mother land,” commented Peter Bett.
“So sad, may her soul rest in peace, God shall intervene, no one is powerful than the Almighty, regardless of how powerful you're. One day they must fall, like Kabaka kingdom,” posted Gilbert Okumu.
Even as Charles Waga condoled with Miguna, he encouraged him to at least send money back home, to cater for the funeral expenses.
“My deepest condolences to you, Miguna Miguna. Very sad that you can't come and attend your sister-in-law's funeral in a country that you have every right to be in. But one day...just one day,” Nixon Otieno expressed hope.
