Deputy William Ruto's generosity took an upsurge as he stunned a village woman with goodies on Friday, September 30.
The DP was at Kimilili, Bungoma County, where he had toured the region to launch projects.
Accompanied by area MP, Didmus Barasa, Ruto traversed the area and strolled into the villages where he bumped into children who were playing cheerfully.
The DP engaged with the children and one woman, delving into finding out their progress at school and the levels of education they were at.
"Were you in school on Friday? Are you insinuating that schools were closed?" Ruto wondered amid laughter and cries from the kids.
He went on to ask the woman to pinpoint her neighbour friends before stunning her with Ksh 10,000.
"Si tumekubaliana. Tuko pamoja. (I believe we have agreed that we are united)
"I will give you Ksh 10,000. You will share with your neighbours," Ruto stated. His move left the woman excited and smiling.
He had earlier on laid foundation stone for the construction of classrooms at Matili Friends Primary School and opened 16 modern classrooms at the Namakhele Primary and Nasianda Primary, Kimilili, Bungoma County respectively.
The infrastructure was developed by the Constituency Development Fund.
