Chilling Call Murdered Woman Made to Police Baffles Detectives

Detectives have cast their net wide to unravel the murders of former Treasury official, Judith Wanjiku and her daughter, Catherine Nyaguthie.

The sleuths have now retrieved a call in which Ms Nyaguithie is said to have made before she died.

Capital FM reports that the 47-year-old called the police emergency line 999 and stated that she wanted to kill her mother after which she would commit suicide.

The audio is said to have been retrieved from the police command, control and communication centre based at police headquarters in Jogoo House.

The detectives have, however, not established whether Ms Nyaguithie was coerced to make the call.

Nyaguthie and her mother's bodies were found inside house number 275 within Golden Gate in South B estate.

The 73-year-old woman had been strangled using a sisal rope and was found lying on the bed.

Preliminary findings indicated that blood was oozing from her mouth.

On the other hand, Nyaguthii's body was found on the floor and had injuries on the neck, indicating that she had been strangled as well.
