Ruto's Close Ally Rips Into Raila Over Controversial Order [VIDEO]

ODM leader Raila Odinga's orders to dredging companies in Likoni to cease their activities until the bodies of the victims of the Likoni Ferry tragedy are recovered has continued to elicit reactions in the political circle.

The latest to join the bandwagon of accusers was the Mathira MP Rirathi Gachagua, who dismissed Raila's actions as 'annoying and shameful'.

In a video posted on his Twitter page on Sunday, October 6, the staunch supporter of the Deputy President William Ruto did not mince his words.

Addressing church members in his constituency, he urged all government employees to ignore the orders given by the former premier.

He told the congregation that Raila had no locus to issue directives as his only role in the country was that of the leader of the opposition.

"Pretending that he can give orders in the country is an absurdity. We have a deputy and a President in the country, who is he to issue such orders?" he posed.

He further cautioned the civil servants who were apt to follow such directives, telling them that they would bear responsibility for their decisions.

"If you agree to follow such orders, whether stated or written, you are on your own," he cautioned.

He also dismissed Raila as a joker whose dwindling political fortunes were rekindled by the handshake between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.

This is not the first time the staunch DP Ruto supporter has attacked the former prime minister.

In August 2019, he accused the ODM leader of being a sore loser who cried wolf after every election instead of graciously accepting defeat.

"The biggest political problem we have as a country is that there is one man who does not accept election results every time he loses, that cannot be fixed by changing the constitution," he sensationally claimed.
