Bitter Murkomen Cries Out Over Murdered Family Member

Elgeyo Marakwet Senator, Kipchumba Murkomen, on Saturday, October 5, moaned the untimely death of a member of his family, Samuel Koech.

Speaking during his funeral, the Senator described the late Koech as a humble man and one of his closest friends.

"Samuel Koech aka Eleven was a good man. He was honest, humble man with a magnetic pull for friendship. He was a member of our extended family," Murkomen narrated.

According to official reports, Koech was murdered by unknown assailants outside his home in Chilchila.

Murkomen took to his twitter page to declare that he would not rest until justice was meted out on the thugs who killed his friend.

"He was murdered near his home by evil people. His killers will be found & punished. RIP, the senator posted,

"Everything is being done to ensure the perpetrators of this heinous act of cold-blooded murder are found and punished," he added.

The grieving senator went on to comfort the Koech's wife and children, assuring them that he would look out for them.

"We shall continue to pray for his wife and children to be comforted by the almighty God and that they will find peace that surpasses all understanding, Murkomen stated.
