The Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji formally ditched his old office on Friday, October 4, for a new one located in Upper Hill, Nairobi.
Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, the DPP intimated that the new space is a four-storey building along Rigati Road.
The publication further indicated that the ODPP's new home, Union House, has been rented for an undisclosed amount and renamed the ODPP House.
The move was part of a strategic plan by the ODPP to enhance its capacity to efficiently deliver services.
The plan also sought to modernise the DPP's processes and procedures and to strengthen partnerships and collaborations.
Haji praised the new space as conducive for work.
“The office provides a conducive environment for effective and efficient delivery of services,” he stated.
This comes just weeks after the office had also announced a plan to acquire Simba, a new system of dealing with complex crimes designed by a Brazillian firm.
The system is especially aimed at cracking corruption and terrorism crimes that have rocked the country for a while now.
