Daring MP Calls Ruto Thief to His Face [VIDEO]

Residents of Nyamira were on Saturday, October 27, taken aback after South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro stated that Deputy President William Ruto should not be blamed for the loss of public funds.

Speaking at Gekano Parish Church in Nyamira County where he had accompanied the DP for a church service, the vocal legislator explained that Ruto had accumulated enough money to fund a powerful campaign.

"He has organised himself and you know polls is about eating well, we don't milk a bull, we go for a heifer and this is the person who can give you enough milk," stated Osoro.

The legislator then switched to his native Kisii language and remarked that money that has been stolen from public coffers should be used to help people.

"Eborie iga, aye onye tikwanya koiba, ng'ai okorusia chibesa ogotarera Kenya yaito igaa? Naende ninki ogotarera amatanga oka? Tori gocha ase emechango yekanisa buna eye, ogochia amatanga oka na gochia bono onye noboibi obwo, gochia oria okorusia nke twareterwa igaa naintwe twanyora egento giaito igaiga,

"(If you have never stolen public funds, where do you get the funds that you use to traverse the country? You only go to funerals and never to harambees in churches and if it’s about the theft of funds, then better this one who steals something small and he brings it to us here)," the MP averred.

Further, Osoro thanked the DP for his frequent visits to the county, adding that the residents are always ready to welcome him.

On September 1, 2019, the Kenyan National Congress (KNC) party threatened to kick Osoro out over debts that he had accrued.

Daily Nation reported that the party instructed the Registrar of Political Parties to have MP struck off its roll for failure to comply with party regulations.

KNC accused Osoro of insubordination, failure to remit monthly party subscriptions and for promoting the interests of another party.
