How DP Ruto Kicked Out ODM Chairman After Taking Office [VIDEO]

Suba North MP John Mbadi on Tuesday, October 29 narrated the humiliation he allegedly underwent at the hands of the Deputy President William Ruto after the Jubilee Party won the 2013 General Election.

Talking to Hussein Mohamed on Citizen TV, Mbadi recalled that he was unceremoniously kicked out of his Harambee Annex office after orders which he claimed were issued by the DP.

"He ordered our documents to be thrown to the corridors and when we got to the office, we found them scattered all over and had to pick them one after another as we cleared out," he recounted.

The Suba North MP was responding to claims by Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen who that Mbadi was consumed by the illusion of power by believing that he was in government through the handshake.

Mbadi told Murkomen that unlike him, he had been in power, where he served as an assistant minister in the office of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in the Grand Coalition Government (2007-2013), a position that Murkomen dismissed as a flowergirl post.

The ODM chairman, however, dismissed Murkomen as being bitter with opposition MPs.

"I think the bitterness with Murkomen, whose genesis I cannot tell, is because of the frustrations in Jubilee that have pushed him to believe that I enjoy some sort of power. You cannot say you want to teach me how the government works. You have never been in government before, but I have," he countered.

He recounted that he served alongside the former PM at Harambee House Annex until the deputy president took over the office.

He also stated that unlike Murkomen, he had never been bitter with the DP Ruto despite the humiliation he underwent.

"I had an offiice in the current Harambee House Annex, and immediately they took over office, our documents were thrown all over the place, but I have never been bitter," he spoke.
