5 Expensive Items That Prove Ruto is Grandiose

Deputy President William Ruto is alleged to be one of the richest people in the country.

Kenyans.co.ke news desk compiled a shortlist of the assets owned by the DP that are valued above the common man's price range.

Top of the list is the controversial Weston Hotel with an estimated value of Ksh2.5 billion. The 120 room four-star hotel is located opposite Wilson Airport in Nairobi City.

It has been a subject of discussion after it emerged that the land on which it was built belonged to the Kenya Airports Authority despite the DP stating that he legally acquired the land.

Judging by photos obtained from the hotel's website, the establishment is worth its salt.

From sparkling swimming pools, mouth-watering cuisines, colourful walls and detailed rooms, it is evident that the hotel was designed with the comfort of the guests in mind.

According to reports by Daily Nation, companies linked to Ruto were listed as the owners of the Ksh1.5 billion Easton Apartments along Jogoo Road.

The property came to light after the government terminated the lease contract of police houses back in 2018.

The same article also claimed another housing unit owned by the DP was affected by the issue.

Osere Flats in Ongata Rongai were also associated with DP and estimated to be valued at Ksh500 million.

His mansion in Uasin Gishu County is estimated to be worth Ksh1.2 billion and sits on 20 acres. The home is said to feature the main house, a guest wing, two swimming pools, a library, gym and other lavish facilities.

His Hublot Big Bang Rose Gold Wrist Watch had to make the list as it has an estimated value of Ksh2.6 million.

He was captured wearing the timepiece during the 2015 Beyond Zero Marathon in a closeup photo of him tying his shoe.
