Viral School Kid Anchors News Flawlessly on Citizen TV [VIDEO]

After a video of a young boy imitating Citizen TV reporters went viral on social media, the broadcaster invited him for an interview on Wednesday, November 6.

While speaking to Nimrod Taabu, a news anchor at the station, Levis Saoli stated that he had a passion for journalism from a young age.

"Every time I watch the news, the information remains engraved in my mind and every time I try to re-enact what I saw on the news, the information flows in my mind.

The news anchor thanked Saoli's sister, Sanaipei, for capturing her brother on camera, after she noticed his love for journalism.

"He has done many videos but this one captured my eye because he had reported on the current Mau evictions," she stated.

"We only did two takes and the second take was due to the fact that that he had misread one word," Sanaipei added.

Saoli was also allowed to anchor the news piece, which he did effortlessly.

In the viral video that captured the broadcaster's attention, the confident high school boy held a microphone which had been inscribed with the words 'Citizen TV', as he made a report about Mau Forest.

He impersonated journalists from the station who are tasked with reporting live from location as he effortlessly moved from one story to another.

"Naam Nimrod, nakupokea vyema nikiwa kaunti ya Narok, tukiwa na shughuli ya kuondoa watu katika msitu wa Mau. (Yes Nimrod, I can get you loud and clear from Narok County, where people are being evacuated from Mau Forest)," the young boy mimicked.

He constantly kept touching his earphone, pretending that he was communicating with a news director in the studio.

Saoli's video went viral, with many complimenting his courage while others asked Citizen TV MD Wachira Waruru to consider hiring him for a teen show.
