Churchill Recounts Bad Joke That Earned Comedian a Job [VIDEO]

Popular comedian and entrepreneur Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill once recounted how he ended up employing a renowned comedian after he made a terrible joke.

Speaking on Reverend Kathy Kiuna's Woman Without Limits show in 2016, the comedian disclosed how he employed Herman Gakobo Kago popularly know as Professor Hamo after 6 months of trying to get to the show.

"Hamo had tried the auditions six times and for six months without any success. On this day, Churchill show was in Nakuru and he showed up. On inquiring why he had stopped auditioning he said he had run short of money for travelling to Nairobi. Out of pity, we asked him to present a joke and it was terrible," he began.

Churchill further narrated that out his persistence, the team that conducted auditions decided to let him perform before honoured guests arrived.

"There are so many talented people in Nakuru who are already in the program but because of your persistence, you will be the first to perform before the guests arrive, right before the National anthem is sang," the auditioning team instructed Hamo.

The determined Hamo however, requested to present his jokes in the form of a class lesson.

"When he took on the stage the entire VIP section was empty because even the governor had not arrived. Professor Hamo was not even introduced," Churchill disclosed.

In his narration, Ndambuki also known as Mwalimu King'ang'i went on to disclose that out of stage fright, Hamo did not know what to say and ended up beginning with "Hoooooo God is good!"

To Churchill's surprise, the audience loved it. This gave the comedian who now hosts a morning show with Jeff Koinange on Hot 96 FM, more courage and as Churchill described it, he killed that particular show.

Afterwards, he was incorporated into Churchill Raw show that airs on Thursdays on NTV hosted by MC Jesse, before Ndambuki invited him to Churchill show.

"When he came, I told him you are no longer Hamo but Professor Harmon," a proud Churchill announced amid claps from the audience.
