A gruesome road accident along the busy Eastern Bypass on Sunday, November 10, has left at least 8 people dead.
According to reports from witnesses on the ground, the accident involved a lorry and two matatus.
Motorists were advised to avoid the busy bypass as the accident which happened near Kangundo Rd junction caused a major snarl-up.
Local residents reportedly barricaded the road with stones in protest, moments after the tragic accident.
Eyewitnesses further claimed that the lorry was forced to come to an abrupt stop by traffic officers before it's driver lost control and rammed into the two matatus.
The officers allegedly fled the scene following the accident.
