Cate Waruguru Tears Into Waiguru's Marriage [VIDEO]

Laikipia Woman Representative Cate Waruguru on Saturday, November 9, made disdainful remarks about Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru.

Speaking during the Inua mama rally in Uasin Gishu county, the MP was heard telling Waiguru to focus on conceiving since she was newly married.

Kuna mwanamke mwengine hapa sijui ameolewa juzi. Hata tumbo ya kwanza haijatupatia mtoto lakini wakati huu anafikiria ile kitu kubwa atazaa ni kutuzalia BBI.

(There is a woman who got married just the other day and the first thing she thinks of doing is embracing the Building Bridges Initiative(BBI) instead of focusing on getting a child)," Waruguru stated.

Further, Waruguru told the governor that she did not represent the Jubilee party just because she had been elected in Kirinyaga county.

"Don't dare think that just because Jubilee gave you the first term as a governor in the County, that you are now Wangu wa Makeri (a Kikuyu tribal chief during the British Colonial period)," she stated.

She called on Waiguru to resign and let an ODM politician take her seat.

On Thursday, November 7, the governor congratulated ODM candidate Imran Okoth for his early lead, adding that moving forward the opposition leader and President Uhuru Kenyatta going would concentrate on the Building Bridges Initiative.

"Congratulations to Kibra MP Elect Bernard Otieno Okoth Imran and Kibra people for voting in a true son of Kibra. Thank you for honouring the handshake. Walikucheka lakini (They laughed at you but) things are different on the ground [sic]. Long live the handshake, forward onward to BBI," she posted on her social media.
