Crucial Document Goes Missing as Uhuru Hosts Foreign PM

A crucial document went missing at State House, Nairobi, as President Uhuru Kenyatta hosted Lesotho Prime Minister, Thomas Thabane.

On Monday, November 11, there was an awkward moment on live TV as the visiting PM could not locate his written speech, raising questions over its whereabouts.

Kenyatta had already concluded his speech and after being applauded, he welcomed the PM who was visibly distraught.

"Where is my paper? It's not there? It's okay" the PM wondered as both he and Kenyatta looked at their aides for assistance.

He then cracked the same joke to Kenyatta as both of them broke into laughter to downplay the moment at the joint press conference.

The two leaders signed a deal on the establishment of a Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC), a Memorandum of Understanding for Bilateral consultations an another one in the field of sports.

Thabane pledged to back Kenya in her push for a non-permanent seat at the United Nations Security Council.

The PM is in Kenya for a three-day visit and was treated to a State Banquet on Monday, November 11, 2019.

Speaking during the State Banquet, President Kenyatta appreciated the Kingdom of Lesotho’s steadfast support and solidarity with Kenya in various continental and international fora.
